Dora's Obit taken from "The Union" newspaper of Nevada City says she was born in Ohio in error instead of Boone County, Iowa. It is her German parents that were born in Wilmot, Stark County, Ohio, relocated to Whiteside County, Illinois about 1857 before going to Iowa soon after the end of the Civil War. Dora was born in Boone or Polk County, Iowa. She was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft of Nevada City.
