Albert J. Hartmann, 71, formerly of R. 1, New Holstein, and for the past 7 ½ years a resident of Kiel where he resided with his sister, Mrs. Clarence Weiskopf, died Thursday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.

Born in the Town of Schleswig (Manitowoc County) on March 26,1904, a son of the late William and Augusta Wagner Hartmann, he attended school at Rockville and Kiel. Mr. Hartmann farmed all his life.

On Aug. 4, 1928, he married Lorinda Ninmer in Kiel. She died July 15, 1963. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein.

Surviving are two brothers, John and Bernard, both of Sheboygan, and four sisters, Mrs. William Willihnganz of Wauwatosa, Mrs. John Nottling Sr., and Mrs. Helen Schilling, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Weiskopf of Kiel. Two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein, with the Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial will be in New Holstein City Cemetery.
