The New Holstein Reporter gives the following of Rev. Fischer, who is known to some of the Favorite readers, and who was buried at that village Monday.

Hugo Fischer was born in town Schleswig on Nov. 1, 1880. Being of a bright and studious disposition he entered Mission House College in 1896 in order to prepare himself for the ministry. In 1905 he graduated from that institution and was ordained and installed as pastor of the Reformed church at Rockville, Mo. In June of the same year occurred his marriage to Miss Ella Aggen of New Holstein, who with two daughters, aged 5 and 6, survive him.

During his second pastorate at Prairie du Sac, Wis., failing health compelled him to retire from active service, and as his physical condition grew slowly but steadily more serious it became necessary to remove the patient to the Northwestern Hospital, where on March 6, death ended his sufferings.

Funeral services were held last Monday, conducted by Rev. Carl Landsberger, who was assisted by a number of ministers, who also acted as pallbearers.

The Church Choir directed by Mr. Ed Schilling rendered two touching songs. Several hundred people had gathered at the church and cemetery to express their sympathy with the bereaved family.

Besides the widow and children, deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Fischer, one brother, Carl and one sister, Mrs. Peter Schmidt.
