Son of Louis Adams & Margarite Smith

Ben Adams, 66, resident of Piketon, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Portsmouth General hospital, where he underwent an emergency operation Friday for the removal of his appendix.
He is survived by these children: Mrs. Margaret Smith of Columbus, Ben Adams, Jr., of Chillicothe, Mrs. Eliza Gilmore of Portsmouth and Martin Adams at home. His wife, Esther Smith Adams, preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 1925.
He also leaves a brother and these sisters: Mrs. Anna Bradford, Mrs. Rosa Fishburn, Mrs. Margaret Fulwillerr and George Adams, and three half-sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piketon Christian Union church, with burial in Mound cemetery under direction of A.M. Gregg of Waverly. The body will remain in the funeral home until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
