homemaker and military wife. She was an avid reader her entire life. Laura also
loved sewing and gardening. She was a former longtime resident of Ft. Worth,
Texas. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Cloud Thrasher Barton and
Rosa Maria Barton; her husband James V. Lewis; brothers, William Barton; C. T.
Barton, Jr.; and Woodrow Barton; sisters, Ava Wheaton; and Mary Kitchell.
Survivors include 1 sister, Margaret Scears of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 2
nephews, Michael Scears and his wife Kristie of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and
David Scears and his wife Lory Turner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number
of great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
