MOSS POINT --- Dr. Arthur Russell Colmer, 95, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1999, in Pascagoula.
Dr. Colmer retired in 1977 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He was professor of microbiology at West Virginia University and alumni professor of microbiology emeritus. He was a teacher and principal at McComb High School and instructor at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Texas. He was a member of Dantzler Memorial United Methodist Church and associate member of the Moss Point Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife Mary Cleo White Colmer of Moss Point.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Point where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
The family prefers memorials to Dantzler Memorial United Methodist Church or the Moss Point Presbyterian Church.
