Viona M. Koenig, 78 of Uniontown died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 11, 1927, in New Wells, Mo., daughter of Martin and Phoebe Winter Mirly. She and Herbert E. Koenig were married April 15, 1951.
Koenig was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Mo. She was a waitress at Freda's and Family Inn.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Randy Koenig of Perryville; two daughters, Carol Detjen of Lexington, Ky., Christine Lee of Uniontown; two brothers, Vernon "Butch" Mirly of Monrovia, Calif., Leonard Mirly of Kirkwood, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and grandson.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
