Mrs. Cartee, who died Saturday, March 3, 2012, was born October 20, 1915, in Lawrence County to Clarence and Eunice Lansdelle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Russell Cartee and two daughters, Diane Godwin and Betty Terry.
Survivors include six sons, Paul Cartee of Town Creek, Jimmy Cartee of Decatur, Dale Cartee of Trinity, Phillip Cartee of Moulton, Ronnie Cartee of Moulton and Donnie Cartee of Moulton; six daughters, Tina Godwin of Moulton, Audean Kelso of Rogersville, Lavinia Wadsworth of Trinity, Annette Terry of Moulton, JoDoris Stricklin of Moulton and Linda Workman of South Carolina; 37 grandchildren, 79 great-granchildren; and 53 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Shannon Cartee, Chad Cartee, Dewight Terry, Terry Logston, Amos Cartee, Scotty Terry, Ricky Thompson and Jerry Kelso.
