She was born May 30, 1915, in Salisbury, Missouri, to Homer and Frona Doke.
Lucille lived and worked in Pleasant Hill, Missouri for 50 years. She worked at various occupations in her lifetime, but was very proud to have been a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She last attended Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church of Springfield. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Patriarchs Militant, where she held the Badge of Chivalry. She also served as Missouri State President for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Patriarchs Militant. She was loved and respected by her family, friends and fellow lodge members.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved companion, Bert West; her parents; her sister, Francis Wagner; and her nephews, Ken Wagner and Gary Doke.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and son-in-law, Bill Hayes of the home; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, J.W. Doke; two nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss her very much.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home East Chapel, in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will follow in Bass Chapel Cemetery, between Fair Grove and Strafford.
