Harold L. Hoge, June 16, 1918 - June 27, 1998, Harold L. HOGE, 80, 497 S. Meridian Road, died 8:55 a.m. Saturday at his residence. Born in Hamlet to Henry L. and Elizabeth SETTLAGE HOGE, he married Katherine L. BRYANT on May 5, 1945, She died March 23, 1981. He married Irene WALLEN on Dec. 24, 1985. She died May 24, 1997. Mr. Hoge was a farmer and owned and operated the Burton Vegetable Center in the Burton community. He retired from the Fulton County Highway Department in 1981. He was a member of the Burton United Methodist Church and had attended Trinity First Assembly of God, Knox. Survivors include two daughters, Judy and husband Rolland CALVERT, and Jane and husband Scott HOLMES, all of Rochester; four sons, Jerry and wife Sharon HOGE, Omaha, Neb., James and wife Judy HOGE, Silver Lake, Jay and wife Kathy HOGE, Peru, and Jack HOGE, Rochester; 12 grandchildren, Brandi and Amber CALVERT, Gessica and Skyler HOGE, Tai and Nick PATTERSON, Mary Katherine HOGE, all of Rochester; Wendy HINES, Shawn KUCZWSKI, Knevit STEPHENS, all of Warsaw; Jon and David STEINBECK, Omaha, Neb.; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Katherine HINES, Warsaw; two sisters, Rachel ZUMPFE, Goshen, Martha SWIHART, Plymouth. one sister-in-law, Mildred HOGE, Danville; several cousins from the New Knoxville, Ohio area. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester. Rev. Gerald SHADRICK will officiate. Burial will be in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday or one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Memorials may be. made to the Hope Hospice of Fulton County.
