Services for Johnnie Pearl Shields will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Webb Chapel with the Revs. Delbert Lathan and Allen Gibson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Shields, 91, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at her residence. Survivors include her sons, Robert Earl Shields and his wife Huguette, and Danny Shields, all of Meridian; a grandson, Edward Shields of Santa Rosa, N.M.; and a granddaughter, Susan K. Williams and her husband James, of Meridian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marshall Shields; son, Johnny Marshall Shields; brothers, Earnest Bracken and Roy Bracken; sisters, Bertha Bostick, Eama Williams, and Edna Baldwin. Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
