Robert S. Carter, 64, died suddenly at his home on Gulf Street this morning at nine o'clock. He is survived by two sons, Earl and P. C., of Roanoke; by two daughters, Mrs. Thorma Williams and Mrs. Exa McCullcrs, also of Roanoke; and by 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at two by Revs. H. M. Gray, G. D. Hunt, and W. W. Lankford. Interment will be In the city cemetery, with Quattlebaum directing.
