Mr. Curtis was born at Canton, Ky., January 16, 1893, the son of Alfred Lynn and Allie Belle Curtis. On July 25, 1918, in Caruthersville, he was inducted into the U.S. Army, receiving his discharge January 30, 1919 at Camp Funston, Kans.
About twenty years ago he moved from Braggadocio to St. Louis, where he was employed at Missouri Baptist Hospital until retiring a few years ago. He was a member of Tower Grove Baptist Church of St. Louis, also of Pemiscot County American Legion Post 88.
He leaves two brothers, Austin Curtis of Bragg City and John Curtis of St. Louis and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Skinner and Mrs. Mary DeBakey, both of Braggadocio.
