Waverly, Dec. 21 - Thomas Murphy, 78, died today at his home, five miles southeast of here. He had been ill the last eight weeks.
Decedent was born near Virden but had resided in this vicinity many years.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Mitts and Mrs. Josie Thompson of Springfield, Miss Anna Heggy of Divernon and Miss Sarah Murphy, at home; one sister, Miss Josie Murphy, Baxter Springs, Kan.; four brothers, Patrick, William, Michael and Henry, Baxter Springs, Kan.
