Larry was born June 3, 1940, in Decatur, IL, the son of Jesse and Cleo (Curtis) Bodine. He married Mary Peyton on March 11, 1961.
Larry was a 50 year member of Plumber and Steamfitter Local 65 in Decatur, IL. He also was the owner/operator of the Leprechaun Landing located at the entrance of Wolf Creek State Park and established the Deerfield Bed and Breakfast in 1993. Larry loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with family and friends. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was very active with Central Illinois Christians in Mission (C.I.C.I.M.).
He leaves behind his wife of over 48 years, Mary of Decatur, IL; sons Mark and wife Laurie of New Market, TN, Russ and wife Melody of Forsyth, IL; daughter Bridget Neumann and husband Gavin of Mt. Pulaski, IL; Grandchildren Emily (wife of Aaron Wolfenbarger), Ginny, Rachel, Stephen, Nathanael, Caleb, Lydia, and Jonathan of Tennessee, Kristi and Will of Forsyth, Brittany, Zacchary and Derek of Mt. Pulaski; Great Grandchild Jackson of Knoxville, TN; sisters Carol Goff and husband Darrell of Decatur, IL, Sharon Skronski and husband Fred of La Place, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard (Dick) and wife Barb.
