Charlie Fajkus, 80, of Tours, a retired farmer, died Thursday, March 12, 1987 in West Community Hospital.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery, Tours.

Mr. Fajkus was born November 4, 1906, in Fayette County and had lived in Tours since 1930. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and St. Martin's Society.

He also had been a member of the KJT Society No. 60 in Tours since 1929, serving as financial secretary for 25 years. He was married to Elizabeth Berger on October 25, 1939, in Tours.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie (Betty) Marek of Waco, two brothers, Tom Fajkus of Abbott and Frank Fajkus of San Antonio; two sisters, Stella Tobola of Dallas and Evelyn Hollis of Victorville, California; and two grandsons, David and Steven Marek of Waco.

Pallbearers were Joe Tobola, Don Fajkus, Bobby Marak, Wesley Filer, Larry Pavlicek and Richard Filer.
