MILTON O. ‘PORKY' ADAMS
Milton O. ‘Porky' Adams, Jackson Center RD 1, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bashline Memorial Hospital, Grove City, where he had been a patient six days. Death followed a two year illness. He was 81.
Born in Fredonia, July 31, 1888, he was a son of Daniel and Sarah Adams. A resident of the Jackson Center area for 48 years he had owned and operated Adams Restaurant and Garage for 22 years and later was associated with Otis Coulter at Mercer Raceway.
Dec. 28, 1921, he married Hazel M. Perrine, who survives.
Mr. Adams was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church at Jackson Center and Jackson Center Volunteer Fire Co. He was a former member of Grove City Knights of Pythias.
He leaves, besides his widow, five daughters, Mrs. David (Dorothy) Carothers, Sharon; Mrs. Wesley (Arlene) Swartzbeck, Hickory; Mrs. Corwin (Elizabeth) McCoy, Jackson Center RD 2; Mrs. Marie Gemison, Racine, Wis., and Mrs. Betty Louis McNary, Ore.; four sons, Milton O. Adams Jr., Centerville, Ala.; Glenn Adams, Stoneboro; Fred A. Adams, Jackson Center, and Paul Adams, Akron, Ohio; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A son, Floyd, three brothers, Mont, Will and Fred, and three sisters, Mary, Annie and Ollie, preceded him in death.

Service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the H. GLENN CUNNINGHAM AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, Grove City, with the Rev. Dennis Bewley of Vincent United Methodist Churh, Jackson Center, officiating.
Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jackson Center.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at the funeral home.
