Funeral services for Selma Stork, 91, of Ledbetter, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Edwin Schwanke officiating. Burial will follow in the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter, Texas. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Stork family will be present for visitation Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Stork passed away Thursday evening at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings.

Selma Ottilie Abel Stork was born on November 9, 1917 in Pflugerville, Texas to Julius & Lydia Evelyn (Lehmann) Abel. She was confirmed on Palm Sunday in 1934 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, Texas by Pastor Henry Brunotte and united in marriage to Louis Herbert Stork on September 24, 1946 by Rev. Leo Simon also at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. Mrs. Stork was a homemaker and enjoyed ranching.

Mrs. Stork was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Delvin Abel.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lois & Billy Dallmeyer of Ledbetter and LaVerne & Arthur Urban of Giddings; 7 grandchildren, Kathy & James Kalbas of Giddings, Janet & Gus Schramm Jr. of LaGrange, Milton & Michelle Urban of Giddings, Michael & Shanna Dallmeyer of Ledbetter, Doris & Kevin Kunkel of Paige, Amber Dallmeyer & fiancee, Keith Schnell of Ledbetter and Lorie & Greg Schwanke of Ledbetter; 14 great grandchildren, Byron Kalbas, Natalie Kalbas, Emilie Kmiec, Justin Kmiec, Andy Schramm, Adrianee Schramm, Elizabeth Schramm, Adam Schramm, Joseph Urban, Matthew Urban, Amanda Urban, Luke Dallmeyer, Emme Dallmeyer and Spike Kunkel; great, great granddaughter, Makenna Kmiec as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund or the Day School at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings.
