Clifford Gunsalus, 86, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died at his residence on May 16, 2009.
Mr. Gunsalus was born, January 1, 1923, in Johnson City, N.Y. to the late Mahlon Roy Gunsalus and Myrtie Singer Gunsalus.
He served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot.
Mr. Gunsalus was a member of Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines.
He was an avid golfer, and loved to play bridge.
Mr. Gunsalus is preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife of over 50 years, Gwendolyn; sisters, Helen Underwood and Margaret Bartholomew.
He is survived by his son, Greg Gunsalus and wife Anna of St. Louis, Mo.; daughter, Ann Chinn and husband Kevin of Rochester, N.Y.; brother, M. Roy and wife Caryl, of Sandwich, Mass.; brother, Claude Gunsalus and wife Ethel of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, Rev. Bill Bailey officiated the service.
