William Roy Watts, 79, of Topeka, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at his home.

He was born November 28, 1929 in Bruno, Arkansas the son of Alfred and Nancy (Begley) Watts.

Bill married Margaret Herrick. They later divorced. Survivors include his companion, Donna Brandenburgh of Topeka; his children, Lily (Jerry) Boyce of Meriden, KS, Charlene Watts of Topeka, Starla Hinck of Topeka, Billy (Holly) Watts of Carbondale, KS, Joe (Denna) Watts of Topeka, and Roy Watts of Topeka; two sisters, Zetta Beard of Springdale, AR, and Willadean (David) Hill of West Plains, MO; a brother, Troy (Becky) Watts of Lawrence, KS; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eula Mae Baker and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Community Church, 1819 SW 21st St., Topeka.

Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Watts will lie in state after 3 p.m., Monday, the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
