Dorcye C. Greenfield, 92, of Batesville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at a local nursing home in Batesville.

Born March 20, 1908, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Wesley C. and Mary Newton. She was a homemaker, a member of West Baptist Church for over 75 years and a member of the women's Sunday school class.

Survivors include eight grandchildren, Jeff Carroll of Kettering, Ohio, Dorcye Woosley of New Lebonon, Ohio, Wesley Greenfield of Dayton, Ohio, Jimmy Greenfield and James H. Greenfield, both of Jacksonville, Janet Painter of Trotwood, Ohio, James Greenfield of Miamisburg, Ohio, Mary Koehler of Cave City; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.W. Greenfield; two sons, R.C. Greenfield and James H. Greenfield; a daughter, Doris Lucille Carroll; and a grandson, Terry Raymond Carroll.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel of Batesville. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
