Georgetown Woman Dies in Auto Accident
Georgetown Mrs Bessie Richardson Harrelson 55 widow of Ellis H Harrelson died Saturday from injuries sustained in a two car automobile accident near the Keningston Community of US 701 North of Georgetown.
Mrs Harrelson was enroute to work when the accident occurred.
The funeral will be 11 am Monday in the chapel of the Mayer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery Annex.
Mrs Harrelson was born in Georgetown County Oct 5 1916 a daughter of the late Willie Franklin Richardson and Mary Jordan Richardson. She lived in Charleston for a number of years moving to Georgetown several years ago. She was employed by the Arthur Joseph Stores. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are one stepson Roy Bell Harrelson of Ocean Drive; two brothers Henry M Richardson of Andrews and Eugene Richardson of Houston Tex; five sisters Mrs Maggie Elliott of Lancaster Mrs Lena Sawyer of Charlotte NC Mrs Edward Williams of Georgetown Mrs Mildred Parker of Richmond Va and Mrs Russell Burroughs of Hickory NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
