MOUNT CORY - Funeral servies for Bertha I. Cupples, 97, a resident of Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, and formerly of Township Road 42, Mount Cory, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Diller Chapel of Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton, the Rev. Dennis Daley officiating. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery near Mount Cory.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cupples died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at Bluffton Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 19, 1892 near Mount Cory to George and Victoria (Sites) Clymer. She married William A. Cupples on Dec. 24, 1912, and he died Oct. 3, 1964.
Surviving are a son, Arlo Dean of Mount Cory; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Edna) Howell, Mount Cory; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and two half sisters, Lula Brooker, Ottawa; and Mabel Boobring, Pandora.
Mrs. Cupples was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Cory United Methodist Church and the Ladies Society of the church.
