Deann was a member of the American Legion and was a very beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and companion. Ms. Gathright is survived by: her mother Marie T. Hall; sons David Thrift and Chad Dewberry; brother Roy Hall; and grandchildren Gayland Dewberry, David Thrift III, and Ashley Griffin; and her loving companion James Hawkinson. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 31, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday April 1, 2009 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
