Mr. Ferrell was the son of the late Walker and Julia (King) Ferrell and was born in Dyer County, Tenn., May 9, 1917. He attended schools in Pemiscot County. In 1935 Mr. Ferrell married Addie Lee Pritchard in Caruthersville. She preceded him in death in 1972.
Before his retirement, Mr. Ferrell was a night watchman at the Caruthersville Shipyard.
Mr. Ferrell is survived by a son, Jerry of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy French of Hayti; two brothers Otis of Cape Girardeau and James of Caruthersville; three sisters Mrs. Cora Lee Dowdy, Mrs. Lille Coble, and Mrs. Pearl Cain, all of Caruthersville; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Turnage, Bill Ferrell, B.A. Cross, Dave Davidson, Lawrence Ferrell, and Verlon Stubbs. Interment was in the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
