LOWELL MIKKELSEN PASSES SUDDENLY 

Lowell Mikkelsen, 62, died Monday afternoon after a sudden illness.

He had been a resident of Cashmere for 29 years. He was engaged in construction work and has been employed by the Schmitten Lumber Co. for the past 15 years.

He was born in Litchville, North Dakota, February 4, 1903, and married Hilda Ottesen at Mt. Carmel, North Dakota, February 24, 1930.

He was a member of the Catholic Church, Holy Names Society, and Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are: his widow, Hilda; two sons, Chalmer, Seattle; and S-Sgt. Duane, Omaha, Neb., and nine grandchildren. He leaves to mourn him four brothers, Morris, Wenatchee; Roy, Cashmere; Orvin, Pullman; and Marvin, in N. Dakota; and three sisters, Myrtle McKellar, Cashmere; Florence Hughes, Wenatchee; Dorothy Rietmier, Oregon.

Holy Rosary will be said on Thursday, 8:00 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church by Father William Shaw. Final services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the St. Francis Catholic Church, with Father William Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the Cashmere cemetery. Pall bearers will be: Kenneth Clements. Hillman Inabnit. Joe Messee, Charles Ulrich, Larry Kugler, and Clyde Hewkin.
