Funeral services for Naoni Bernice Harrell Hamm, 90, of Thomasville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2002, at Dawson Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Hamm died Friday, July 5, at Camelia Gardens in Thomasville.
She was a native of Colquitt County, having moved from Adel to Thomasville in 1948. She was married to John Emerson Hamm on Sept. 16, 1933. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and retired from Warners Company in Thomasville at age 65. She was a daughter of the late Albert Harrell and Ella Turner Harrell.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Emerson Hamm; brothers Eugene Harrell, Rufus Harrell and Albert H., Harrell; and sisters Allegra Rooks, Winifred Passmore and Irma Nelle Blain.
She is survived by four sons, John Franklin Hamm of Cocoa, Fla., Don Hamm of Irvine, Calif., Jerry Hamm of Thomasville and Tex Hamm of Cumming; and 12 grandchildren, Courtney Caputo, Stephanie Gibson, Brian Hamm, Jeff Hamm, Shannon Hamm, Belinda Musto, Danny Hamm, Julie Graybeal, Jason Hamm, Brett Hamm, Kelly Hamm and Jamie DeRosa; and 11 great-grandchildren, John Michael Hamm, Michael Musto, Cole Hamm, Gage Hamm, Emma Graybeal, Ethan Graybeal, Nathaniel Gibson, Karley Hamm, Sarah Banks, Franco Cotardo and Christian Gibson. Other survivors include her brother, Albert F. Harrell Jr., and sisters Inez Wright, Buford Watkins and Agnes Lavender.
