Our beloved James Claude Wells went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2008. He fought a long hard battle with cancer and never gave up.

James was married to the love of his life, Toni Wells for 56 years. He was born in Marshall, TX on September 1, 1929. James met his wife Toni in Hemphill, TX and married her May 16, 1952. James and Toni have one daughter. They moved their family to Pasadena in 1961.

James worked at Pasadena Lumber Co. for 28 years and South Texas Lumber for 10 years. He loved woodworking and helping children and babies at Memorial Baptist Church.

James had one grandchild who was the apple of his eye; one sister; one brother-in-law and numerous other relatives.

James had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and a Shriner for over 25 years.

In-lieu-of flowers, please make donations to The Shrine Hospital or to Memorial Baptist Church in memory of James. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm at Fairmont Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11am at Memorial Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX.

Burial will follow at GrandView Memorial Park.
