HICKORY FLAT - John Marion Baker, 66, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. He was born Oct. 23, 1937, in Benton County to Dallas Glen Baker and Audrey Lucille Baker. He was a truck terminal manager and a member of the Hickory Flat Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hickory Flat Methodist Church with Bro. Brownie Tohill officiating. Burial will be in the McKay Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Clayton Baker of Hickory Flat; one son, John Michael Baker of Ripley; two stepsons, Danny Wilson and Kenny Wilson, both of Hickory Flat; two daughters, Lynette Palmer of Booneville and Barbara Taylor of Holly Springs; two stepdaughters, Sherry Percival of Memphis and Brenda Voyles of Como; one brother, Ralph Baker of New Albany; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Warner Bradford, Ricky Pipkin, Lawrence Winborn, Mark Massengill, Glen Cossett, Jerry Childers and Jack Gadd.
