QUINCY _ A. Lucille Mathews, 67, of Quincy, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1993, in Central Washington Hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1926, to Ashley L. and Gladys (Evans) Gilbert at Osceola, Neb.

She married Roy Trobee Sr. on March 20, 1944, at Stapleton, Neb. They worked on a ranch in Nebraska for several years and then moved to Washington. She and her family moved to Iowa in 1959 and they worked on a farm until 1964. They then moved back to Washington, where they owned and operated a shrimp and oyster business.

She married Athel N. Mathews on May 17, 1976, at Quincy, where they lived.

Mrs. Mathews worked for the last 15 years for Lamb-Weston.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary at Ephrata.

Survivors include her husband, at home; three sons, Roy I. Trobee Jr. and Donald D. Trobee, both of Granite Falls, and John J. Trobee of Mercer, Mo.; a daughter, Betty Jean Carver of Granite Falls; two brothers, Lee Gilbert of North Platte, Neb., and Robert Gilbert of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and two sisters.
