Miss Emma Turpin of Casner died at 11:30 Sunday night at the home of Mrs. Catherine Worsham at Prairie Hall. She went there Saturday afternoon to visit with Mrs. Worsham a few days and took sick about 9 o'clock Sunday evening, dying at 11:30. Heart trouble is supposedly to have been the cause of death,. Miss Turpin had paralytic strokes a couple of years ago and since has been in feeble health. When she became ill, it was soon apparent her condition was serious and her sister, Mrs. Hulda Roby, at Casner was sent for. Miss Turpin died however, before Mrs. Roby arrived. Miss Turpin was 60 years old and lived alone in Casner. Her only living relative is her sister, Mrs. Hulda Roby. Her mother and father died about twenty years ago. Her father was Edmund Turpin. Miss Turpin owned 80 acres of land near Casner. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at ll o'clock from the residence of Mrs. Warsham. The burial will be at Turpin graveyard.
