OCALA -- Floyd Paul Brown Jr., 81, a machinist toolmaker for Northwest Engineering Services, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at his residence.
A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., he moved to Ocala in 1974 from Miami. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a life member of the University of Miami Beta Ta Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing and was active in the adult leadership Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of Sunset Harbor St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lila E. Brown, Ocala; sons, Raymond P. Brown, Davie, Floyd W. Brown, Chattaroy, Wash., and Stephen C. Brown, Ocala; brother, Walter Brown, La Place, La.; and two grandchildren.
