Albert G. HANSON b. 10 Jan 1880 Allamakee, IA; d. 29 June 1947 probably Iowa; burial in Old West Paint Creek Cemetery, Allamakee, IA. Married on 5 Sep 1912 in Waukon, Allamakee, IA to Cora Martina ANDERSON (b. 15 Mar 1888 Allamakee, IA; d. 30 Jan 1953). Albert attended rural schools in Allamakee County and was confirmed by Rev. Hartman in the West Paint Creek Lutheran Church. During his early youth and young manhood, Albert worked at various farms as a hired man. One summer he worked for a man by the name of Arneson near Harmony, MN. (See 1900 census.) On 20 Sept 1909 he and his brother, Gilman Hanson, rented the J. S. Johnson farm on Round Prairie. The brothers continued to operate this farm for three years until Albert bought Gilman's interest and the partnership was dissolved. Albert continued to operate the Johnson farm until purchasing the James Burke farm. Around 1920 Albert bought additional acres from John Arnold and John O'Brien of Waukon, IA. He continued to own and operate this farm until his death in 1947.
