Born Beverly A. Baetz in Castleton Corners, she moved to West Brighton in 1964. She returned to Castleton Corners in 1966 and settled in Westerleigh in 1977.
Mrs. Rothmund worked for several years as a proof operator at the Federal Reserve Bank, Manhattan, before taking off time to raise her family. She later returned to the workforce for about 10 years at the former Community National Bank in Stapleton, retiring in 1991.
