At Double Bayou, in Chambers county, Tuesday, June 28th, Mr. Andrew H. Long, aged 77; a native of Pennsylvania.
Thus a noble christian gentleman has passed from the pains and sorrow of this life to the enjoyment of unending peace and happiness in the land where these trials are unknown. We knew the decearsed, honored him, trusted him, and now in mingling our sorrow with that of his desolate friends and kindred, we enjoy the pleasant conselousness that he is at rest and enjoying the sweetest blessing of the other life. In depriving us of a valued friend and his relatives of a dearly loved one. God has taken to himself one of our noblest and truest fellow men.
