Edgerton/Janesville - Gladys V. Tiffany, age 88, of 1700 S. River Rd., died Thurs., July 6, 1989 at Cedar Crest Health Center. She was born May 1, 1901 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Guy and Eva Holiday.
She moved to Edgerton in 1953 where she lived until 1980 when moving to Janesville. She married James Tiffany June 17, 1919 in Milton, WI. He died in April of 1979. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and active in the Womens Circles.
She is survived by 3 sons: Horace (Margie) Tiffany of Lake Worth, FL, Clifford (Virginia) Tiffany of Watertown, WI and Howard (Virginia) Tiffany of Fort Myers, FL; 1 daughter, Mrs. Viola (Pete) Caldwell of Willits, CA; 1 brother, Rev. Ralph (Jessie) Holiday of Kings, WI; 4 sisters: Mrs. Helen Saunders of Minneapolis, MN, Mrs. Ruth Mansur, Mrs. Esther (Elmer) Rassmussen and Mrs. Evalyn Millard all of Janesville; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Tiffany. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, David and Kenneth, 1 nephew, Clarence, and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tues., July 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church, Janesville, with Rev. Thomas Lowery officiating. Burial will be in the Milton Junction Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral Home, Edgerton. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Cedar Crest.
