Shirley, 72, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born the daughter of Julian & Gladys (Algrem) Eide. On Oct. 23, 1954, Shirley married her soulmate, Roger Lehmann, in Dubuque, IA. Shirley & Roger owned and operated a farm in Cambridge. Shirley was a loving and dedicated mother and wife, working side by side with her husband on the farm. She sold eggs for many years, was actively involved at St. James Church, its ladies aid and the choir. According to Roger, Shirley was a phenomenal cook, and everyone looked so forward to her meals. Her favorite "novels" were cookbooks. She will be so sadly missed. Shirley was the strength and glue that kept the family strong. There always was room for one more at the table, and rarely would anyone leave the farm without her sending something home with them. Shirley had so much dignity and strength. Even in her final hours, her integrity and spirit was evident. All who knew her were proud to be part of her life. She was goodness and kindness through and through. Surviving are her husband, Roger K. Lehmann of Cambridge, WI; five daughters, Luann (Tom) Clark, Leann (Mike) Lehmann, Lori (Joel) Hebbe, Lisann (Kevin) Porter and Linda Hollenbeck, all living in Cambridge area; a brother, Rollie (Lila) Eide of Deerfield, WI, and Ron Sweet, who always has been a special part of the family. She was grandmother of 12 grandchildren, Dale (Beth) Clark Jr. of Rogers, Ark., Brian Clark of Boise, Idaho, Lindsay Clark of Anchorage, Ak, Andrew Lehmann of Maui, HI, Angel Lehmann of Bend, OR, Aaron (Amanda) Lehmann of Cambridge, Michael (Emily) Hebbe of Fort Atkinson, Christopher (Angel) Hebbe of DeForest, WI, Alyse Hebbe of Fort Atkinson, WI, Isaac and Carley Porter, both of Edgerton, WI, and Jake Hollenbeck of Cambridge, WI; and great-grandmother of nine. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leroy Eide. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praised her: "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised and blessed. Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates (Proverbs 31: 25-31).
Funeral services were held at St. James Lutheran Church in Cambridge, with burial in the East Koshkonong Cemetery in the Town of Christiana.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at the Nitardy Funeral Home in FORT ATKINSON, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. James Lutheran Church, Lakeside Lutheran High School or Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson County.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Pastor Schallert, Dr. Donald Williams and Rainbow Hospice, and a grateful thank you to all of the family, neighbors and friends for the gifts of prayer, food and kind deeds.
