Dwight (Roundman) Watson, 86, Kirksey Almo Road, Murray, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at 10:40 p.m. at Spring Creek Health Care.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member and deacon of Spring Creek Baptist Church. A lifelong farmer and also a welder, he worked for Union Carbide Nuclear plant at Paducah for 32 years.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Watson. Born April 17, 1922, in Calloway County, he was the son of the late Lexie C. Watson and Gracie Jones Watson.

Survivors include two daughters, JoBeth England and husband, Larry, and Yvette Pyle and husband, Billy, all of Murray; two sons, Dan Watson and wife, Gail, Almo, and Dave Watson and wife, Lesa, Murray; one brother, Bobby G. Watson and wife, Jo, Murray; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.


The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Bro. Hal Shipley and Bro. Terry Powell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Monday) and at the church after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
