Darius Allen enlisted in the Civil War on 14 Jan. 1864. He died of a disease from his service on 8 Nov. 1964, after three months in the hospital. Co. C 22 Reg. Wisconsin Volunteer, died at age 31 years, 8 months, 21 Days. Pvt. Allen died from chronic diarrhea while at Camp Joe Holt/Jefferson Civil War Hospital.
Married Ruth Cass Hatch, 17 Nov. 1856, in Bloomfield, Walworth County Wisconsin. Darius left a wife and three children.
