Marjorie L. Zerbe, 86, of Sunset Drive, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at her home.

She was a retired elementary school teacher and had taught in the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. for 22 years. Prior to her retirement she had taught at Clifty and Kent elementary schools.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association, a home economics club, Tri Kappa Sorority and the American Association of University Women. She was a graduate of Ball State Teachers College.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street with the Rev. Ann L. Glass officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.

A committal service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home in Bunker Hill with the Rev. Steve Zerbe officiating. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Columbus.

Mrs. Zerbe was born in Wolcott March 10, 1914, the daughter of Robert B. and Marguerite Fouts McKee. She married Dr. Lowell B. Zerbe in Bunker Hill May 7, 1938. He died June 7, 1994.

Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Annelle Weymuth of Maryville, Mo.; a son, Dr. Robert L. Zerbe of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a brother, John McKee of Bunker Hill; and grandchildren D.J. Weymuth of Bethesda, Md., and Anne Elizabeth, Eric Robert and Sarah Christine Zerbe, all of Ann Arbor.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Nonnenmann.

The funeral for Marjorie L. Zerbe, 86, of Sunset Drive was Friday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel, with the Rev. Ann L. Glass officiating.

Committal service was at Allen Funeral Home in Bunker Hill with the Rev. Steve Zerbe officiating. Remembrances were shared by Dr. Robert L. Zerbe.

Burial was at Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill.
