Gladys Kuykendall Herring was born July 19, 1913, in Houston, the daughter of the late Jonathan Kuykendall and Mollie Brown Kuykendall.
She was a member of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, where she served as president of The Women of the Church. She was also past president of Women of Rotary, a member and director of The Woman's Club of Fort Worth and a past president of Provarsu Study Club.
The family expresses sincere appreciation to her devoted caregivers, including members of Odyssey Hospice and Stonegate Nursing Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clint W. Herring, and her sister, Ruth Vinson.
Survivors: Daughters, Anne McCully and her husband, Kent, and Jane Hawkins and her husband, John; grandchildren, Kathy Carver and her husband, Jon, David and Debbie McCully, Mollie Hawkins and Todd Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Sarah Carver, Ali and Nicole McCully; sister-in-law, Marjorie Herring.
