Nellie G. Zegafuse
Mrs. Nellie G. ZEGAFUSE, 83, 1205 Elm street, died at 3 a.m. Sunday in Woodlawn hospital where she was admitted Thursday.
Born Dec. 14, 1887, in Chili, she was the daughter of Frank E. and Minerva CUNNINGHAM WARD. Her marriage was Dec. 28, 1905, in Chili, to Francis ZEGAFUSE. He preceded in death May 20, 1965. Mrs. Zegafuse had resided in this community since 1917, moving from Chili. She was a member of the Reiter Community club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Lois) SHOWLEY, Kewanna, and Mrs. Esther WHITTON, Fort Wayne; one son, Donald W. ZEGAFUSE, Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma BURNS, Akron, and Mrs. Hazel OGDEN, Laketon. One daughter preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Lloyd OVERMYER will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home.
