She came to Winnfield in 1905, and had lived here ever since. She was a member of the First Baptist Church here, where she joined soon after moving here.
The funeral was held at the home, by Dr. W. L. Holcomb, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Jordan Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, J. C. Hobbs of Winnfield, one brother, Scott Smith of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ophelia Rutledge, Farmerville, and Mrs. Lula Sandidge of Monroe. Her parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Smith of Clarks.
