Rufus T. Brewer, 86, Route 3, died early today at Muscatine General Hospital.
Services are at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Pat Dilts is organist. Pallbearers are Paul Brewer Jr., Jim Nehaus, Bob Laeser, Ken Conner, Wilbur Hetzler and Kenneth TeStrake.
He was born Oct. 29, 1900 in Illinois, a son of Free and Sarah Essex Brewer. He was a life resident here. He was united in marriage on May 4, 1935 to Dorothy Mae Jackson at Rock Island. He farmed his entire adult life.
Survivors include one son, Paul Brewer, Tipton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald, Muscatine; and William, Salem, Mo.
His wife and five brothers preceded him in death.
