He was a native of Bedford County and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Pocahontas Church of Christ.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Manchester Funeral Home with Pete Frakes officiating. Burial will be in the Gnat Hill Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Flora Davis Louis of Pocahontas; four sons, William Kenneth Lewis of Fayetteville, Clyde Lewis of Hendersonville, Virgil Lewis of Lynnville, and Edwin Lewis of Paris Kentucky; two brothers, Aubrey Lewis of Shelbyville and Marvin Lewis of Gnat Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Duke of Gnat Hill and Mrs. Minerva Trail of Fredonia; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
