Alma was a lifelong member of Asphult Lutheran Church until it closed and later Salem Lutheran Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher and was active in the church women's groups.
Alma enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and gardening.
After Alvin's death in 1992 she moved to an apartment in Forest Lake, MN and in 2000 she moved to the Birchwood Healthcare Center.
