Daniel Bosley of Clark's Mills, a gentleman well known to many of our readers met with a painful accident on Wednesday and it is feared that his age will make his recovery problematical. He was at Rochester and had been doing some business at W. S. Kimball's tobacco factory, near which he slipped and fell and broke his hip. He was taken to the Clinton Hotel, where medical aid was secured at once, and was then removed to the city hospital, where he still is. He is 78 years old.

Mr. Bosley was one of the oldest residents of this county, having been born in the immediate vicinity of his late residence Clark's Mills, in the town of Geneseo in the year 1805. His family, we believe ware originally from Maryland, and his father and other relatives settled in this part of the county in the latter part of the last century. Deceased formerly owned the mills on Conesus outlet, which were erected by his father about the year 1800. In 1835 they were purchased by Lucius K. Olmsteded. who soon after erected a saw mill upon the same site.

Since 1835 and perhaps for some years before, deceased has been engaged in the mercantile business, from which he accumulated a handsome company. and careful in all his business relationship, he was a man of highest sense of honor and unbending integrity, possessing in the highest degree of respect and confidence of his citizens and whose death will be deeply felt and mourned.

The funeral will take place at the Presbyterian church on Friday the 11th inst. at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, Rev. Dr. Ward conducting the services.
