Mr. Leonard Hunt, 76, 114 Walnut St., Campbellsville, died Thursday morning, January 20, 1972, at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg. He had been in ill health for several years.
He was born September 5, 1895, in Marion County, the son of the late Nancy Frances "Fannie" Wade Hunt and George Washington Hunt.
Mr. Hunt was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church and was sexton at Brookside Cemetery for several years.
His first marriage was to Effie Brockman in 1927 and she died in 1938.
On July 19, 1947, he was married to Mae Bowen, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Lawrence Hunt of Campbellsville; one sister, Mrs. Dale (Rhoda) Richardson of Campbellsville and two grandchildren, Mildred Hunt and Gerald Hunt.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, January 22, at Lyon Funeral Home by Rev. Ben Spencer. Burial was in the Brockman Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Alfred Hunt, Leon Garner, Arle Mardis, Thomas Hunt, Robert Graham, and Carl Mardis.
