Well Known Farmer From Near Illinois Bend Had Been Ill Several Weeks
---Ben Murphy aged almost forty-eight years, died at a local hospital last night after a serious illness of about six weeks.
---Mr. Murphy's first illness was malaria which later developed into dropsy. He was brought to the hospital in serious condition about ten days ago.
---The funeral arrangements have not been made awaiting word from relatives, but the burial will probably be in La Plata.
---Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife and three children, Lee, Floyd and Deloma. He was reared in the Illinois Bend Community and has a host of friends who will regret learning of his death.
---Mr. Murphy had recently sold his farm and bought the Charles Bundy farm near Millard.

---Ben Murphy, a well known and highly respected farmer living near Illinois Bend, died at the hospital in Kirksville Sunday evening after an illness of several weeks.
---Deceased was forty-eight years of age and is survived by his wife and three children, Lee, Floyd and Deloma.
---Funeral services were held at the Illinois Bend Church yesterday morning at 10:00, conducted by Rev. Gregg of Mexico. Interment was made in the La Plata cemetery.
