Billy Charles Myers was born in Brazoria County, Texas on March 28, 1946, the son of George Washington Myers and Lola Faye Beasley. He spent his childhood in the Brazoria County area.

He joined the Navy after graduating from high school. After a short time in the service, he returned to Texas and married Freda Lindsey on June 6, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. To this union three daughters were born, Tanya, Dana, and Andrea.

Billy graduated from Chriswell College in Dallas and was an ordained minister. His close relationship with his Lord and Savior was a guiding force in his life. He was a friend to all and was known for offering a helping hand to anyone in need, stranger and friend alike, with no thought for their status in life.

Billy was an avid student of history and especially enjoyed learning about the Civil War. He was a man who always looked for new things to learn about his favorite subject.

His daughters remember that he encouraged them to do well in school and would help them with their homework if they were having difficulties.

Billy passed away on 26 Jul 1996 in Dallas after many years of ill health. He is mourned by his widow and daughters; sister Barbara Smith; and brothers Jimmy Myers, Milton Myers, and Robert Alexander.
